Cormorant's Fancy

Cormorant's Fancy

“Cormorant’s Fancy” will bring the heartbreak, joy, and beauty of Celtic songs and dances to life outdoors in Schmucker Grove.

Music, Gettysburg! presents the instrumental and vocal music of the Christmas season in concert Sunday evening,December 15th, at 7 pm in the chapel of the United Lutheran Seminary at 147 Seminary Ridge.  The concert is free and open to the public.

This festive concert, one of the most popular in the Music,Gettysburg! season, will feature the Gettysburg Children’s Choir singing classic Christmas favorites, old and new under the leadership of director Matt Carlson.  Also performing in the concert will be the Schola Cantorum of Gettysburg, under the direction of Stephen Folkemer, Susan Hochmiller, Wayne Hill, Ed Stanley, and Teresa Bowers.

Wayne L. Wold will undergird the celebration from the chapel organ, and has written a new piece which will receive its world premiere that night. Come prepared to add your voice to assembly singing of several Christmas carols during the delightful program of a little more than an hour of music. Narrating the concert is Jeffrey Gabel, founding director of the Majestic Theater of Gettysburg College.
